DP Spring Party

My mouth hurts from too much laughing, my tummy full from too much eating and my feet hurt from too much shopping. Nothing new. Just another brilliant day with these crazy bunch -- although its been a while since we did hung out during the day. The fashion event wasn't too exciting for me and their collection did not exactly satiate my shopping lust. In fact, I left the store with only a single silver ring (despite the tempting 20% discount offer). Nevertheless, I had a blast, it's been a wonderful weekend so far and I'm exhausted!

Hippie Hippie Shake

A surprise bridal shower cum tea party thrown in honor of the bride-to-be was thankfully, perfectly executed. The theme was Bohemian and the location was at West Coast park. I, willing alibi, held my tongue and lied through my teeth when I was given the tough job of making sure that Wardah was brought to the park without suspecting anything! The girls decorated the picnic area so beautifully, especially Siqin who put in time and effort into all the cute little print outs, balloons and food too pretty to be eaten. More photos to be up later! 1 more week, Wardah! Excited much???

Toy Camera

If you're wondering why I'm out of the frame, that's because I wasn't contributing any effort to piecing that camera AT ALL. I was happier capturing the process and observing the enraptured expressions and looks of determination that were brandished on these two siblings' faces. Oh and of course, the look of pure joy on my husband's face when it was finally completed. Why not? After all, this was gift from a friend which he had kept for more than four years and had been left forgotten, until today.

Bokehs and Light Leaks

I've been experimenting with the combination of effects available in iDarkroom, Hipstamatic and Instagram and these were the results. Light leaks and bokehs are my new favourites.

P/S This is totally off-topic but is it weird that I felt compelled to end all my blog post with a 'Warmest regards, Fiz' every single time? Been writing like waaay too many emails lately.

When I came across this advert, I was totally dumbfound.
I didn't know which one should I buy.
The sexy curve heel or the normal looking camcorder.

I Am Feeling : Wtf

Ive had the flu, the cough, the heachaches..whatever ailments that leaves one feeling pretty much useless and in a incoherent rambling mode, Ive had it all.
Im feeling so sick, im starting to miss my sense of humour.

Went to Lau Pa Sat for lunch today for a bowl of porridge (Can anyone get anymore Oliver Twist than that ?). Don't know what came over me but somehow I was under the misguided notion that by stuffing myself with wet rice and stale sliced fish, I will feel a weeeetttle bit better about myself.

Then something weird happened. I did.

Well...apart from a turgid tummy and the perpetual feeling of wanting to pee always, I did feel slightly less weak.
I wonder though...if I were to spend much time melodramatically weeping and working myself into a frantic, irrational levels of hysteria later in the office..will I gain enough sympathy to be able to be sent home ? Viva miss dramaqueen!

2nd-hand and Under-used

We just spent a whopping total of $375 on items off the auction.
Yowwzer.
AT the risk of looking like an auction-skank, we decided to sell instead.

Anyone interested in buying our 7-mth old Panasonic Lumix FZ-10K, 4.0megapixels in excellent condition and oozing kick-ass ? At a good price of $650 we'll even throw in some 256mb SD Card, additional battery and an eyebrow tweeze.

My life is a place so foreign, i need a passport stamped just to get in.

To summarise two-double oh-four slashed oh-five
- We got from dreaming to a whole lot of saving and finally purchased our first Lumix eff-zee 10. Now we're thinking of selling it off and upgrading to the big kahuna - THE Canon EOS 350D.
Then we went back to a whole lot of dreaming.

- We managed to build up a considerable collection of vintage cameras, including a Lubitel 166b & Agfamatic sensor with rollers intact.

- Keeping the holga but still buying the Woca.
Got a few lens filter that we got off an auction.

- Just puchased the Polaroid ONE from the 600 series. The film's fucken costly. But im still loving it.

- In the works : Horizon 202 and Fisheye lomo.

All these and more. But wheres the photoblog, babeh ?
