Spent the weekend watching movies, making spaghettis and other assortment of domesticated activities that would put Martha Stewart to shame.
Hausbern was around but was in his perpetual horizontal mode (i.e sleeping) and hence didn’t want to be disturbed.
So I honored his requests by sulking quietly and making loud obtrusive sounds using the vacuum cleaner, tv and deliberately knocking against the bed at regular intervals.
That didn’t garner much of an effect unfortunately, except for a couple of incoherent sleep-ramblings which included the words ‘mana satu server’ and ‘kat basement rumah kiter ada lobang’.
Then on Sunday, I went to woodlands to meet my parents and did some last-minute shopping at causeway point. It took me 20mins to get what I wanted and damn longer than that to get it gift-wrapped. Farken customer service counters should consider hiring Christmas elves to raise their efficiency a notch.
After 40mins and eight disgruntled customers later, mumsy insisted in watching a movie so we bought the tickets to ‘Twilight’..which wouldn’t be my prime movie choice but knowing mum, she’d fall asleep in any other movies that’s dark, has depth or too much dialogue. Twilight was our only option as the plot was basic (i.e boy meets girl and fall in love) and has a equal dose of action and romance...or so we thought.
She fell asleep mid-way nevertheless. I insist, it has got to be the cheese nanchos.
The movie was OK – has the usual flakiness as expected for movies targeted for young adults and harry-potter fans, but there were pretty awesome scenes that'll pull you right back to your seat. And Edward Cullen ? Yummy. You just wanna eat him up, roll him around in your tongue for a bit before putting him in a glass beaker for eternal adoration. And get this, he is only 22 ! WTF.
Ok pedophilic-mad-scientists thoughts aside, I wouldn’t recommend this movie for those who is expecting some action. Except for the last scene that has the good vampire jumping on the bad vampire’s head before breaking his neck with her bare hands, there isn’t any. As for me, I think I would much prefer reading the book.
