ABOUT MIKE CINA
Mike Cina was born in 1971 in Minneapolis, USA. He studied Communication Design at University of North Texas. And years later, he worked several design jobs while djing house music. In 1996, Cina moved to Minneapolis and began creating and working on various websites — many of which have been featured in books and magazines. He began working for Billy Graham as a full-time graphic artist, and on the side, he co-founded Test Pilot Collective, a type and design studio. In addition, he continued to work with other sites on a regular basis.
Cina left Test Pilot Collective to start his own company, mikecina.com, in parallel he also launched TRUEISTRUE.com (an experimental art site). His design work has been exhibited at the most important Cultural Center of Brazil, CCBB, in Rio de Janeiro, and has been featured by the likes of Macworld, Adobe, lectures at Universities, conferences, and AIGA functions.
Above all, Mike Cina is kept busy with web and print work, typefaces, photography, painting, illustrations, side projects, a book, and most of all his kitty-cat.
